NURSING CAMPUS, BIRATNAGAR (Eastern Region)

His Majesty's Government of Nepal, Ministry of Health established ANM training school in the year 2023 BS at Biratnagar.This school was involved for a period of 6 years in producing Auxilliary Nurse Midwives. Later on 2029, this programme was handed over to Tribhuvan University under the Institute of Medicine. This training school with its existing building and other physical facilities then became ANM Extension Campus.

As the country felt the need to produce middle-level manpower in nursing, IoM upgraded the ANM campuses to certificate level nursing programme so as to prepare middle-level manpower in nursing. As a result, this ANM extension campus became Nursing Campus, Biratnagar in 2037 BS and started a certificate level nursing programme from the Academic year 2038/39 BS. Nursing Campus, Biratnagar is located in Biratnagar municipality ward No. 10 just behind the Koshi Sub-regional hospital.
