NEPALGUNJ NURSING CAMPUS (Mid-Western Region)

Nepalgunj Nursing Campus was initially established by HMG of Nepal as an ANM training school in 2026 BS. This school was involved for the period of 15 years in producing Auxilliary Nursing Midwives. Later on, in the year 2028 BS (1972 AD)it was taken over by Tribhuvan University and was renamed as ANM Extension Campus under Institute on Medicine. It was upgraded to Nursing Campus from the academic year in 2044/045 BS onwards. Since then, this campus has been conducting the PCL in Nursing (Profieciency Certificate Level in Nursing) programme. The target number of students for intake in PCL nursing programme was 30 from the academic year in 2044/045 to 2052/053 BS. Since the academic year 2053/054 BS, the target number of students was increased to 35. ANM extension campus renamed after being handed over by HMG of Nepal to TU) has produced 448 ANMs from 2026 to 2045 BS and the Nursing Campus has trained 167 graduates from 2044 to 2055 BS. Nepalgunj Nursing Campus is situated in Nepalgunj municipality ward No. 13 just behind the Bheri Zonal Hospital. This is the only one Nursing Campus of the Mid Western Region of Nepal.
