Since its founding in 1972, Institute of Medicine has grown into an internationally recognized leader in Medical education and Healthcare. Today, we are renowned for our various programs in health care involving undergraduate, post graduate and subspeciality training. The IOM ranks the 1st amongst the Medical Institutes of Nepal and the overall ‘Excellence Ranking’ of the Tribhuvan University is 1788, the highest amongst the universities in Nepal based on the “Webometrics Ranking of World Universities”.
We are incredibly proud of our rich history and are grateful to the many alumni, faculty, students, residents and staff who have contributed so much to these successes.
We are celebrating one of our milestones, our 50 year anniversary on the 17th of July 2022 – by reflecting on how far we’ve come on our journey through the evolution of medical education and research We will look forward to the next 50 years as we continue to work together on building a healthier future through innovative education and research.
