On the occasion of its 54th anniversary, Institute of Medicine (IOM) organized the IOM Gold Medal distribution ceremony on Ashad 32, 2083, (16th July, 2026) Thursday. The formal program was organized in the MMC Auditorium Hall of Maharajgunj Medical Campus, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu. IOM distributed 64 gold medals in various programs of bachelor and masters level to acknowledge and honor the outstanding academic achievements of meritorious students for the academic years 2079 and 2080 BS.
Dr. Prarthana Subedi, an MBBS graduate from Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences bagged 6 gold medals for year 2079 while Dr. Subarna Giri, MBBS graduate from Maharajgunj Medical Campus secured 5 gold medals for 2080.

The event was blessed by the presence of authorities of Institute of Medicine; its constituent campuses Maharajgunj Medical Campus, Maharajgunj Nursing Campus, Biratnagar Nursing Campus, Central Department of Public Health as well as dignitaries from its affiliate colleges Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences, KIST Medical College, Gandaki Medical College among others.

The medal distribution ceremony was graced by the presence of benefactors and donors of the gold medals whose contribution has made this event possible. IOM is extremely grateful to them for their generous contribution toward promoting academic excellence in medical education and encouraging meritorious students.
